Be yourself, find your path
Magefølelsen Podkast and Youtube channel is all about being who you truly are.
Not who you pretend to be, but who you deep down, on the inside really and actually are.
I interview people who have been brave by choosing differently than what most people do, and what the outside world might expect of them.
People who do, even when no one else supports them or believes in them. Because they just know that this is the right way.
They cant necessarily explain why, they just know down to their bones that this is what they have to do.
THIS IS what I call "The Gutfeeling".
More correctly, this is actually our intuition.
It's one of the ways we can listen to our bodies when making decisions. Because our bodies know a lot of things our minds cannot explain or understand.
We share wisdom, stories, feelings, experiences, tools.
We talk about what life is really about and how to navigate life's ups and downs on our ways towards our dreams.
I talk about shameful topics and how to break free from whatever is holding us back from living out our full potentials.
I long for a braver world, where we all dare expressing ourselves and standing up for what we believe in.
This is business management meeting politics, entrepreneurship, sexuality, mental health, holistic health, equality, tantra, somatic work, spirituality, music, yoga, mindfulness, feelings, trauma healing, attachment theory, non violent communication, circling, radical honesty, Drama Triangle/ Empowerment Dynamics, Poly Vagal Theory, coaching, Internal Family Systems.
Why?
Because when I started the podcast in 2020 I was searching good role models for doing exactly this.
I didn't know it back then, but I had no idea who I was. I was a people pleaser who adapted to whatever would impress certain people in my life. Scared to shit by rejection, criticism, having different opinions and being excluded or disliked.
My own burnout and a couple of really emotional relationships (and breakups) made me realize that I tended to loose myself in work and relationships.
I needed alcohol and solo travels to places where noone knew me to relax, feel free, let loose and truly breathe.
Something had to change, so I started digging and I found stuff, man oh man!
4 years later I am full of wisdom. I have shared along my journey and I will continue to share my story and knowledge.
Because we need it. I see so many people lost in imbalance. Their thinking, feeling, saying and doing don't add up. Noone really kn0ws them. Not even themselves.
They suppress who they are. Most people do.
We have created a society that feeds on low self-esteem.
So many people with great ideas, minds and solutions who are never heard or seen.
Instead hidden away behind their screens, alcohol or whatever their chosen addiction is.
Because they
DON'T DARE TO
DON'T KNOW HOW TO
FEEL STUCK AND HELPLESS.
Loneliness. Depression. Anxiety. Stress. Burnout. Addictions. Lack of focus. Scattered minds. IBS. Eating disorders. Suicide. Fibromyalgia. ADHD. OCD. C-PTSD. ME....
On the podcast we talk about the way out of crappyness.
How we can open our eyes, take responsibility for our own shit and actually invest our time, money and resources into the efforts required to create the lives WE WANT TO LIVE.
Realizing there are no quick fixes, princes on white horses, or pills that will get you where you want.
Realizing that all hero's make huge efforts into becoming heros.
Some of my big heros are Brene Brown, Garbor Mate, Betty Martin.
I have recently changed into English as spoken language, the first 80 Episodes were however, with some exceptions, in Norwegian.

I i
In 2020 I wanted to create community, which felt like to big of a task, so I landed on making a blog instead.
My name friend, Therese, asked me "why not make a podcast".
I had a list of reasons why.
My voice wasn't right,
I didn't want monologues
I didn't know the people I wanted to interview,
I had stagefright
and performance anxiety around authority figures,
and I didn't know anything about recording, interviewing, editing, publishing, marketing...
So many reasons why NOT.
She told me, ask them!
I wanted to. So, I committed myself to creating the podcast by saying that if at least one of the 30 people I asked said yes. 29 of them did.
This was in June. I spent the summer learning everything I needed to know about podcasting and in August 2020 I recorded my first podcast episode with Helene Ragnhild.
Still with a bit of microphone-phobia.
Since 2020 I have found myself community. I believe investing in a project like my podcast truly changed me and made me find people who truly encourage me into being brave, courageous, wild and expressive.
When I am writing this, I am in such a different place then when I started the podcast. My foundation is strong. I believe in myself.
I know that I can manage.
And I know that you and everyone else can as well.
I have let go of my need to save the world, to save people.
I am here to encourage, ask questions, challenge, call out bullshit, inspire, be honest, knock people out of victimhood (and heroing and perpetrating), and share knowledge; tools; wisdom and stories from my experiences from life, studies and work.
On my path I realized that noone needs saving, that's a story hero's keep telling themselves to feel valuable. I was one of them. I sacrificed my life to save others, when in reality all they needed was for me to help them EMPOWER themselves.
We all just freaking need to start believing in our own capabilities.
That's when the magic happens.
Not when someone else does stuff for us. That enables our helplessness and uselessness.
Everyone needs to learn by doing.
Let them figure things out themselves.

I know you are capable.
I know it's possible.
I can get you there.
I am also honest.

I share my intuition.
and I do call bullshit.
I am here to think outside the box, be part of big conversations and help people speak the same language.
Often all that is needed is for us to see clearly and objectively what is in front of us.
Let's together create the future we want.
